Our Programs

Menstrual Health

Through our SRHR programming we provide adolescent girls with knowledge, sanitary products, and facilities to understand and manage their menstruation.
Our 5-week health education program focuses on improving psychosocial well-being and menstruation-related behavior among girls aged 13–18, including women with disability.
This educational program includes introductory sessions about hygiene and puberty, reproductive anatomy, menstrual cycle, sexual abuse, menopause, reusable pad care, and reusable sanitary pad sewing session.
At Empower HER , we recognize that traditional financing options for MH products can be burdensome and restrictive. That’s why we’ve developed an innovative technology that improves the purchasing power of MH products in the community.
Through our innovative payment wallet,
We provide access to Sanitary Pads through a ‘Save now Pay Later ” platform that empowers women to acquire MH products hassle free.

Leadership Development

In a bid to raise a critical mass of women leaders we nurture, Incubate and mentor young women from Primary Schools to Colleges and Universities to become solution oriented leaders.

Research has proven that most students who participate in student leadership eventually occupy leadership positions in different spaces from corporate companies, government institutions, religious institutions, politics and many other avenues. We believe that setting a firm foundation of leadership is the first step in creating sound leadership.

Empower HER Initiative has nurtured and still nurtures a breed of women leaders who create lasting solutions to the problems faced by their respective communities.

The Mothers in School Support Programme

A student in the university – a young woman herself – becomes pregnant. With limited places to turn to, few people to turn to, or lean on, these young mothers can turn to Empower HER’s Young Mothers Support Program.

We offer nonresidential educational, mental health and medical support for new and prospective young mothers who do not have internal support systems to help them. With the care and assistance of our nurturing staff, and dialogues with respective stakeholders the young mothers are able pursue educational and personal goals while learning how to care for their infants and toddlers.

Entrepreneurship & Economic Empowerment

Investing in women’s economic empowerment sets a direct path towards gender equality, poverty eradication and inclusive economic growth. Women make enormous contributions to economies, whether in businesses, on farms, as entrepreneurs or employees, or by doing unpaid care work at home.

This program seeks to provide women with direct support, tools and resources to live a safe, self-sustaining and empowered life.

We do this through capacity building programs in small business, vocational training and ultimately incubation.

Education

Empower HER Education Fund is designed to provide scholarships to academically gifted girls from disadvantaged backgrounds from Kenya to pursue High School Education.

This we do in partnership with Individuals and Institutions that are of interest.
